The YMCA of Rock River Valley Board of Directors named Brent Pentenburg as CEO.
The Board held its annual meeting on January 26, 2018. The Board voted to forego a national search and name Brent Pentenburg as the new CEO of the organization. Pentenburg, former Chief Operating Officer, had been serving as the Interim CEO for the past 60 days.
Pentenburg’s Y career launched more than 10 years ago as a day camp counselor. His Y journey has exposed him to various leadership roles and areas of focus across the country. “Brent has proven to be the leader we feel this association needs to carry out our vision and mission in this community,” said Dr. Dave Gomel, Chief Volunteer Officer, YMCA of Rock River Valley Board of Directors. “The Board has been impressed with Brent’s work ethic and inclusiveness over the past 60 days. He has a passion for helping every individual reach their potential and we are confident he will guide this organization to continued greatness.”
“I am very appreciative and humbled by the opportunity to be in this role,” said Pentenburg. “It is an exciting time for the YMCA and our community. I am excited about the future – what God will help us do and the lives that are going to be impacted.”
Pentenburg assumes the role effective immediately.
