The YMCA of Rock River Valley is excited to see its outdoor basketball court transformed into a piece of art.
The Rockford Area Arts Council ArtsPlace Program along with the Rockford Area Young Realtors Association has designed a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired mural to be painted on the outdoor basketball court on the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA campus. The photo above is a drawing of the design. Muralist Jenny Mathews is leading the installation. The RAAC has also committed to the upkeep and integrity of the mural after it is painted.
Additionally, the YMCA is installing a state-of-the-art, adjustable basketball goal that can serve groups of all ages.
