YMCA Announces New Chief Operations Officer

The YMCA of Rock River Valley is proud to announce Trisha Tousant has been named Chief Operations Officer for the association.  Tousant has been with the YMCA of Rock River Valley for eight years and was previously the Vice President of Operations. Over the course of her career, she has served at several YMCAs across the country totaling 20 years of Y experience.

Tousant will oversee the operations of the Y’s three membership branches, YMCA Children’s Learning Center and YMCA Camp Winnebago. Additionally, she provides oversight for YMCA Kids’ Time, which serves more than 1,000 students in before and after school care throughout Rockford Public Schools, Harlem School District and Pecatonica. Tousant is also responsible for continuing to pursue community collaborations to carry out the Y’s mission. She has led many partnership initiatives including JOYNT with OrthoIllinois and Judson University, Health First with Crusader Clinic, City Life with Youth for Christ, swim lessons with the Rockford Park District and the on-site fitness center at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

Tousant volunteers her time with several local organizations including United Way of Rock River Valley on the Middle School Success Task Force, Alignment Rockford providing Academy support, Rockford Regional Health Council focused on youth obesity prevention and is on the steering committee for One Body Collaboratives.
