Log Lodge Ornaments For Sale

Get your piece of YMCA history for the holidays. We still have YMCA Log Lodge ornaments for sale as part of the Rockford Historical Buildings Ornament collection. The J.R. Kortman Center for Design released the Log Lodge ornament in 2017 as the building celebrated 70 years of gracing the banks of the Rock River. The YMCA Log Lodge was built in 1947 and was the first YMCA building on the downtown campus.

The glass ornaments are hand-painted by an artist that specializes in a style of painting unique to China, called "inside painting."  Each ornament is original, but is based on a painting created by local artist Jeanne Ludeke.

The Log Lodge is home to meetings, special events and regular prayer groups as well as children participating in summer day camp. The building was constructed by Schmeling Construction.

You can own this beautiful ornament for $28. We have a limited quantity, so act fast! Just visit one of our YMCA facility locations or the J.R. Kortman Center for Design.

Proceeds from the sale of the ornament will go to the YMCA Annual Campaign.
