Free Election Day Child Care
The YMCA of Rock River Valley is excited to offer kids a safe place to play on Election
Day, making it easier for busy parents and caregivers to get to the polls on Tuesday, November 3. The
YMCA first launched this initiative in 2016. Acknowledging taking kids to the polls may add stress for busy parents and caregivers, the Y is committed to doing its part to make sure all Americans can vote.
As the largest nonprofit provider of childcare in the United States, the Y helps nurture our nation’s
children and encourage them to learn and grow. Supporting parents and caregivers is a crucial
component of nurturing children.
Election Day Child Care will be available on November 3 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 5 p.m.-7 p.m.at the following locations:
SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA, 200 Y Boulevard, Rockford
Northeast Family YMCA, 8451 Orth Road, Loves Park
Parents can utilize up to two hours for Free. Do not have to be a member of the Y to use this service. Advanced registration is required. Children ages two and up will be required to wear masks.
