YMCA Camp Winnebago has been able to support hundreds of campers through our “camperships” over the years but we have run out of space to house them.
Every week there are up 40 kids that sit on our waitlist, unable to experience the magic of camp simply because we have reached our Illinois Youth Camp capacity.
Building a new Pavilion is within our reach – but only through the help of generous camp families like yourself!

Here’s a little background on how we got here:
Through the generosity of the Scott and Virginia Webster Charitable Trust, Camp Winnebago has received a gift to help us build a pavilion, complete with a professionally rated storm shelter, large enough to provide space for up to 80 children each week. The Webster Trust has challenged Camp Winnebago to match their gift of $125,000 to the project, meaning that nearly every dollar raised will be doubled by the Trust.
The total cost of the project is $300,000. We have raised almost all the needed funds but are still seeking $40,000 to help complete the project. Will you help us send 80 additional kids to camp for up to 12 weeks each summer?
