We know this school year is creating many challenges for families. Whether you're choosing in-person learning or e-learning, the Y is here to support your family.

Kids' Time Full Day Care will take place while in-person school is not offered in the Rockford Public Schools. Students will be supported in their remote learning materials, while also engaging in enrichment activities, such as: active games, STEM, arts & crafts, etc.

Program runs from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday- Friday
November 30 - December 18
Offering half and full week rates.

The Y is providing before and after school care at select Rockford Public Schools, Harlem schools and Winnebago. 

During Kids' Time, children participate in fun and educational activities that help them achieve their goals, make new friends, and belong. We will provide small groups that focus on social distancing and safety. 

**RPS students: After school care is at our YMCA facilities on Wednesdays. More information can be found below under "Kids' Time Remote Learning Wednesdays". Register

Kids' Time Remote Learning Wednesdays is for Rockford Pubic School students. It will run from the time students arrive at our YMCA facilities until 5:30pm. RPS transportation has agreed to bus students to the following YMCA facilities:

Northeast Family YMCA: Brookview, Maria Montessori, and Spring Creek
SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA: Bloom, Carlson, Froberg, Johnson, Rolling Green, Thurgood Marshall, and Whitehead.

Students being bussed will need to fill out an RPS Transportation Waiver and email it to Please allow 48 hours before transportation is able to process your request. Click the link below to get the waiver.

Camp C.A.R.E.S. - Childcare and Recreation-Enhanced Studies

Camp Winnebago is pleased to offer small group childcare and remote learning support this school year. Children will have a safe space to work on district-provided remote lessons with the support of their group leader, while also having the opportunity to engage in outdoor education & STEM activities, arts & crafts, and traditional camp activities. Financial assistance options available.

Ages served: 5 yrs - 8th grade Register

When school’s out, Camp is in! The YMCA of Rock River Valley provides a safe and fun environment for children when school is not in session. Camp Days are offered for Rockford Public Schools at the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA. Harlem School District students can attend at the Northeast Family YMCA. 

School's Out Camp Days run from 6:45am-5:30pm. Registration opens on the 15th of the month prior. Register
