The Y is accepting applications for the Antonio Little Teen Leadership Award and Scholarship sponsored by Field.
The Antonio Little Teen Leadership Award is a $1,000 scholarship award provided to a young individual between the ages of 16 and 19 who has actively participated and demonstrated leadership in one or more extra-curricular activitie(s) or is taking an active roll to improve the overall health of the Rockford community.
The annual scholarship is in honor of former Y employee, Antonio Little, who dedicated his career to engaging, inspiring and educating youth. Little was a Program Coordinator for Community Outreach YMCA. Prior to his passing in the summer of 2015, his passion was in mentoring youth, helping them achieve success in school and inspiring them to give back to the community.
Applications should be submitted electronically. The winner will be announced at our annual YMCA Community Dinner on May 18th. For more information, contact Becca Homb at bhomb@rockriverymca.org.
