YMCA Capital Vision Video

Vision - you have to be able to see what could be in place of what is. We've rallied behind a vision to become one of the best in the country, but how do we get there? The Y shares its short and long term vision and we need your support to get there.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

Good to be Alive - YMCA

YMCA of Rock River Valley

CEO Mike Brown performs Andy Grammer's "It's Good to be Alive." The Y unveiled this video at its 2016 Community Dinner. The YMCA of Rock River Valley certainly believes it's a good time to be alive right now. Brown laid out his vision to expand our reach to communities who don't have access to Y services. It starts with the announcement of the new Puri Family YMCA serving Southeast Rockford and Cherry Valley. We have our sights set on Southwest Rockford, Winnebago and communities to the West and Machesney Park and communities to the North. We know that when people have access to needed programs and services they live fuller lives. They are empowered to make change. They have hope.

Little Learners - Random Thoughts

Youth Development

We love our Little Learners. They always have an opinion - whether it's about animals, mom and dad or the next President - and they are not shy about sharing it. We just had to document some of these random thoughts. The Y’s Little Learners program engages pre-K children aged 3-5 in age appropriate curriculum. Our educators meet high quality standards and lead our little learners on a journey of self-discovery.
