Seniors Hit the Gym to Get Fit, Have Fun, and Make Friends! Medicare and many insurance companies offer free or reduced rate memberships. This is a great way for older adults to improve their strength for daily activities, while building a social network.  

SilverSneakers is for individuals who are eligible for Medicare or to group retirees. SilverSneakers members receive a FREE YMCA membership, a benefit subsidized by Humana and their qualifying plans.

Additionally, the Y accepts Renew Active, Silver & Fit and FitOn Health programs.

This great benefit includes:

Access to conditioning classes, exercise equipment, pool, sauna, and other available amenities

Customized SilverSneakers classes designed exclusively for older adults who want to improve their strength, flexibility, balance and endurance
