Pathways to Success

Learn new skills with confidence to help you develop in your personal and professional roles! Training and certification classes are available to youth & adults in the community, who wish to gain skills personally or professionally. Course offerings are designed to help you gain knowledge and confidence in a given area and are offered at various times and locations across our association.

Child and Babysitting (CABS) Certification

This HSI Babysitting Certification course is perfect for pre-teens and teens interested in babysitting as a business, or who have responsibility for younger family members.

From getting started with their business, to dealing with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving and first aid tips, the magazine-formate CABS (Childcare and Babysitting) guide and vlogger-style video makes this learning certification class fun and interactive.

Babysitting is not just watching the children, but being responsible for their safety and well-being.

CABS stresses the priority to keep you, and the children you care for, safe.

CPR and First Aid

Learn how to perform CPR and administer First Aid to adults, children, and infants with confidence!

CPR & First Aid classes teach you how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, as well as heat and cold emergencies. You’ll also learn how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies.

HSI First Aid | CPR AED reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update.

Our course is blended, including both e-learning and one classroom session. Those who pass certification will be certified in HSI Adult First Aid and CPR/AED for all ages for 2 years.

Learn the skills to save lives, protect family and friends, and feel confident if an accident occurs.
