LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

What is LIVESTRONG?

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free program tailored to meet the specific needs of adult cancer survivors who would like to improve and reclaim their health before, during, and after treatment. Over the course of 12 weeks, participants meet twice a week in small groups to exercise, enhance functional ability, and improve energy levels. The classes are led by certified instructors who have completed specialized YMCA of the USA training in elements of cancer, rehabilitative exercise, and supportive cancer care.

Criteria to Participate

  • Strong personal desire and commitment to participate in the program
  • Medical release for participation from doctor
  • Give permission for LIVESTRONG at the YMCA staff to contact your physician or health care provider as needed
  • Adult participants must be 18 years of age or older
