We are excited to partner with Midland States Bank to offer a financial literacy series of classes at the Y! Financial literacy equips people with the knowledge to make informed decisions, leading to greater monetary stability, less stress, and a higher quality of life. It empowers people to take control of their finances and navigate the challenges and opportunities that arise. It is a crucial element in achieving financial health.
The first session is about making budgets work and is about identifying personal obstacles to budgeting and creating and applying a structure to track and analyze spending. You will also list short, medium, and long-term goals and discuss the importance of debt reduction and building emergency savings. Ultimately, you will learn to apply strategies to manage day-to-day spending.
This event is free, but please register at the link below under website.
