Community Impact
The Y is a cause-driven organization that is for youth development, for healthy living and for social responsibility. A strong community can only be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors.
We are community-centered, bringing people together of all ages and backgrounds to bridge the gap in community needs. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive and work tirelessly to mobilize the local community every day to effect lasting, meaningful change.

Boys & Young Men of Color
The YMCA of Rock River Valley is joining a national YMCA movement to invest in boys and young men of color. The YMCA Boys and Young Men of Color (BYMOC) strategy ensures equitable outcomes for boys and young men of color ages 11-17 by removing systemic barriers, providing relevant services and support systems, and creating nurturing environments that promote confidence and growth.

Camp Hope & Project Pathways
Camp HOPE America is the first camping and mentoring initiative in the United States to focus on children exposed to domestic violence. It is a values-based “Challenge by Choice” program that empowers children by recognizing and fostering character traits through a six-day camping program and monthly mentoring program throughout the year.

Spiritual Development
Historically and to this day, the YMCA is committed to putting Christian principles into practice through its many programs and its people who carry those principles forward. The Y is interested in your spiritual and mental health as well as your physical wellbeing. Learn about ways you can plug into the Y spiritually.

Child Protection
At the Y, child protection is our number one priority. Our goal is to help educate parents and children on how to be safe from child abuse in any environment with the skills they learn at our Y. Our staff and volunteers are trained on comprehensive and innovative practices around child safety to ensure your children are safe in our care.
